In the year 2011, the association of communication students will make it a point to have its training recognized and to develop a strong “professional” culture.
The Association of Master’s Students in Communication โ€“ EMCOM โ€“ was created during the 2008-2009 academic year at the initiative of Ms. Loufrani-Fedida, head of the M2 COM degree at the IAE of Nice, along with the master’s students.
For the past three years, this association has been committed to ensuring and enhancing the reputation of the program among communication professionals and business leaders. Internally, the EMCOM association aims to unite all the students of the program, from all generations, around a “professional” culture.
-Creating an M2 COM spirit, perpetuating the association, and bringing people together are the mottos of the association.
At the beginning of 2011, the goal will still be to increase the visibility of the M2 COM, making it a reference program. Indeed, far from being limited to purely theoretical training, this master’s program is fully aligned with the new necessities of the job market: real case studies, project development, emphasis on teamwork, oral expression exercises. Moreover, the teaching is complemented by guest speakers, all from the communication world.
Thus, the EMCOM association aims to showcase the quality of the education and its students, who by the end of their program will be fully capable of integrating into the heart of businesses.
The new team, driven by motivation and commitment, will strive to energize the program and strengthen the Alumni network. For this purpose, unifying events have been organized throughout the year: the organization of the reunion of M2 COM program alumni, organization of monthly dinners with activities, and organization of the end-of-year luncheon.
These gatherings, marked by conviviality, allow students to exchange ideas and create lasting connections. For the association, these events highlight and bring attention to this “M2 COM” culture, regardless of the generations.
