National survey on the attractiveness of metropolises: Nice, in 8th place in the overall ranking

The platforms RegionsJob and ParisJob*, in partnership with the Hays firm, surveyed for the second consecutive year the working population of the largest French metropolises about their perception of the attractiveness of their place of residence. In the overall ranking of the 18 major metropolises, Rennes is first, followed by Nantes and Lyon. Nice is in 8th place, just behind Bordeaux and ahead of Montpellier.

The RegionsJob/ParisJob platforms in partnership with the Hays firm asked the 2,913 respondents to rate various aspects that contribute to the attractiveness of their metropolis. The Nice metropolis ranks 2nd on the question of leisure, culture, and environment (just behind Nantes). It should also be noted that it ranks second to last on the question of the cost of living.
Another question asked: Would you recommend your city to someone looking to change regions? The people of Nice are moderately enthusiastic, with 64.9% of them who would recommend it. Comparatively, the people of Rennes respond favorably at 89.3% while Parisians judge their city harshly, with fewer than one in two residents willing to vouch for it (43.1%).

Residents also expressed in detail the strengths and weaknesses of their metropolis. While the quality of the environment, cultural offerings, and health services are particularly appreciated and praised by the residents, the cost and quality of housing, the cost of living, and employment dynamism are more criticized, recognized as the three main disadvantages of the metropolis.

Nevertheless, 45% of the people of Nice believe that the image of their metropolis has improved over the past 12 months, placing their city in 2nd place in this category, just behind Rennes.
