forum-emploi-3.jpg Around 70 companies from all sectors are expected to attend the event and will offer more than 400 job opportunities, including temporary contracts, permanent contracts, seasonal jobs, from Bachelor’s degree +3 to Bachelor’s degree +5, available immediately.

This forum is aimed not only at graduates seeking their first job but also at students looking for an apprenticeship contract or a salaried activity compatible with their studies.

More than 800 students are expected at the forum to meet directly with recruiters, attend mini-conferences (starting a business, using social networks for job searching, preparing for working life, etc.), or participate in advisory workshops for their resume and cover letter.

To improve their chances, APEC will offer them a preparation session “How to Present Yourself at a Recruitment Forum” on September 17th at St Jean dโ€™Angรฉly.

Concrete measures to promote the professional integration of graduates

In February 2009, the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis adopted an ambitious plan to promote the professional integration of its graduates.

This plan, which includes 14 components, has led to the implementation by faculties, schools, and institutes of numerous actions aimed at bridging the gap between education, students, and businesses. A service dedicated to career guidance and professional integration (SOOIP) was established in 2010 to support these actions.

Thus, in the 2011-2012 academic year at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis:

1400 undergraduate students were trained in internship and job search techniques,

120 participants took part in entrepreneurship training modules during their undergraduate studies,

more than 600 business requests were handled by the University’s career guidance and professional integration service,

a guide to internships and a guide to apprenticeships were distributed to more than 500 companies in the region aimed at recruiters,

a support office for entrepreneurship was opened, and 10 project leaders were accompanied.
