Endometriosis: An Exceptional Congress in Nice

Latest News

This Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4, 2022, a conference entirely dedicated to endometriosis will be held at the Mediterranean University Center. Dr. Sylvain Tassy, a gynecological surgeon and endometriosis expert, will be joined by Dorothée Mior, founder of the EGG Center.

Indeed, endometriosis is a complex and poorly understood disease. It affects 10 to 20% of women, with between 2 and 4 million women affected in France.

On Friday, the Mediterranean University Center will host sector professionals for training on the different ways to address the disease and how to provide a better diagnosis.

Then, on Saturday, the general public will have the opportunity to attend this conference. Lectures bringing together experts, gynecologists, and associations such as info-Endométriose and ENDOmind are on the agenda. There will also be fun workshops or alternative medicine sessions organized as well as discussion circles.

Endometriosis is still a taboo subject, and this type of meeting helps to normalize the discussion around this topic.

In February 2022, the French startup Ziwig developed a revolutionary tool: the endo-test. It is now possible to make a clear diagnosis of endometriosis, which reduces the detection time of the disease from 8 years to a few days.
