A crucial challenge in development, energy management is at the heart of European policies.

Leading the MEDNICE project, MED programme Networks for an Innovative Cooperation in Energy efficiency, financed by European funds, the Euromed Cities Network organized its launch in Nice.

Euromed won the call for projects launched within the framework of the Interreg MED Program covering a territory of 13 countries ranging from Portugal to Cyprus, on the theme of energy efficiency in public buildings. At the core of European reflection and action, this topic is particularly relevant for the Mediterranean Basin.

At the head of a coherent partnership of European scale (*), the Euromed Cities Network coordinates 10 projects within this framework.

The MEDNICE project, described as horizontal, anchors a MED community around energy-related issues faced by public administrations, serving as a platform for innovative and shared solutions, in order to amplify the results of the projects and increase their impact on public policies.

The MEDNICE project aims to be the preferred interlocutor of European institutions in the coming years and seeks to advocate for the specificities of Mediterranean territories in the field of energy efficiency in public buildings.
