Thursday, March 8, 2012, at 12:00 PM, Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, President of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS), will pay tribute to the women working for the civil security missions of the SDIS and Force 06, in the presence of the General Counsel Members, and Colonel Patrick Bauthรฉac, Departmental Director of the SDIS.

On this occasion, and for the first time in our department, a female firefighter will be appointed as Lieutenant Colonel.
525 professional and volunteer female firefighters, including those in the health and rescue service, dedicate themselves every day to rescue services and the inhabitants of the Alpes-Maritimes, wearing the same uniform as the men of SDIS 06.
-A Day to Recognize the Commitment of Women
2,959 women work at the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, making up more than 60% of the total workforce. They work in all areas, including administrative, social, and technical sectors. The rate of women in leadership positions reaches 50%.
