This exhibition invites you to discover the surprising diversity of Mediterranean wetlands, from coastal salt marshes to mountain peat bogs.
Ponds, lagoons, salt marshes, peat bogs—these remarkable environments play many roles at the heart of the planet’s balance: production of food resources, climatic buffer regulating hydraulics, reservoir of biodiversity.
With a loss of 50% of these environments, grouped under the term “wetlands” over the last thirty years, their preservation is a major challenge recognized at both regional and global levels.
