FACE 06, in partnership with the City of Nice and Université Côte d’Azur, is distributing free masks to students in need.
The Federation of Student Associations and Corporations of the Alpes-Maritimes is helping students. With its partners, Université Côte d’Azur and the City of Nice, the group was able to order 2,000 masks, which will be distributed. “We have indeed observed a 1.90% increase in the cost of the 2020 school year. The essential protections to fight against COVID-19 (hand sanitizers and masks) represent an average cost of €30 per month for students,” explains FACE 06. Such a budget is too large for some.
Therefore, each student for whom purchasing these protections is a financial difficulty will be able to collect two reusable masks from the associations on their campuses. However, it is necessary to fill out a registration form set up by the group to benefit from this.
Face 06, the leading youth organization of the Alpes-Maritimes
The Federation of Student Associations and Corporations of the Alpes-Maritimes consists of more than thirty student associations. Its goal is to help, encourage, and also support students in their projects and endeavors. To achieve this, they implement numerous social projects. For example, AGORAé, created in 2012, is a solidarity grocery store where students can purchase food and hygiene products at 15% of the essential price. They have also organized several event projects, such as the student carnival called “Face Parade.”
