In partnership with the City of Nice, Université Côte d’Azur, and CROUS, the leading youth organization of the Alpes-Maritimes will distribute meal packages to students in university residences.
But FACE 06 is not stopping there: it is extending its action and will reopen its social and solidarity grocery store next week.
This initiative is notably thanks to one of AGORAé’s annual partners, ANDES, which made it possible. Indeed, this partner donated €3,900 to the student federation and connected them with ReVIVRE Association to deliver a food order within 72 hours.
When and where to collect these food parcels?
The food parcels will be distributed to students at AGORAé, located within FACE 06’s student space in downtown Nice, at 9 Rue d’Alsace-Lorraine.
The grocery store will be open twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for now, and the food packages will be distributed by student federation volunteers. Social distancing, health regulations, and preventive measures will be observed by all volunteers and students.
Who are these food parcels intended for?
These parcels can be collected by AGORAé beneficiaries as well as all students, whether they are residing in university housing or not, simply by presenting a student card or the current academic year’s certificate of enrollment.
But is it enough?
These donations will allow this food aid to begin. But for this distribution to be sustainable during this additional month of confinement, FACE 06 is launching an appeal for donations. At the same opening hours of AGORAé, volunteers welcome donors, both individuals and professionals, to receive food items and hygiene products which are then redistributed to students in precarious situations until May 11.
