There will be municipal elections in March 2020, but this Tuesday, academics anticipated this democratic act by voting to elect their representatives to the Board of Directors and the Academic Council.
Future officials in civilian institutions?
The election of student representatives to the central councils of the University of Côte d’Azur, which has just taken place, confirmed FACE 06, the organization representing the list MOVE YOUR CAMPUS WITH FACE 06, as the leading representative organization.
This election, – pitting FACE 06 against 3 rival lists (You vote UNI you’ve understood everything, Student Popular Front, and United Nice-Menton-Cannes-Sophia) and leading to strong mobilizations on campuses -, saw students renew
their confidence in the outgoing majority list.
During this vote, FACE 06 won 2 out of 3 seats on the university’s board but also 10 out of the 12 seats allocated to the Academic Council. FACE 06 thus garnered more than 70% of the votes, a historic record for this association.
Nearly 2600 students participated in the vote.
