In Catalonia, the years following the Spanish Civil War, marked by violence, are seen through the eyes of a 10-year-old boy whose father is unjustly accused of murder…

This film is the adaptation of the eponymous novel by Catalan writer Emili Teixidor, a bestseller considered his masterpiece and “the best Catalan book of the decade.”
Pa Negre was a resounding success in Spain with 9 Goya awards (Madrid), 13 Gaudí awards (Barcelona), and a prize at the latest San Sebastian festival.
Agustí Villaronga embodies the new generation of Spanish cinema. He is known for the beauty of his shots and the power of his dramaturgy. He is notably the author of Tras el Cristal, El Mar, and El Niño de la Luna.

No More Fear by Mourad BEN CHEIKH

On December 17, 2010, a young street vendor of fruits and vegetables set himself on fire in Sidi Bouzid, after his goods were confiscated by the authorities. This was followed by a general protest movement against President Ben Ali’s regime. The Tunisian Revolution began, and “never again will we be afraid for this new Tunisia.”

In the presence of the director

Mourad Ben Cheikh studied Fine Arts in Tunis and Bologna. He directed commercials, short films, and films for young audiences (he had presented Mare Nostrum at Cinéalma in 2008). With No More Fear, he helps bring the first testimonies of the Tunisian revolution
