Final reminder for anti-Covid discipline before the curfew.

The Prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes and the city of Nice remind that in the absence of treatment, the best protection for you and your loved ones is to adhere to barrier measures and social distancing.

The figures provided by the Regional Health Agency on the incidence rate, positivity rate, and number of Covid hospitalizations in our region reflect an alarming progression of the epidemic and are approaching the maximum alert threshold that could lead to the implementation of a curfew.

The Prefect of Alpes-Maritimes, Bernard Gonzales, and the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, have consequently instructed the national police and the municipal police to conduct joint patrols to ensure the compliance with barrier gestures and to be unwavering toward all establishments that do not comply with them, potentially leading to the application in Nice of the same consequences as in Marseille. Thus, inspections and fines will commence as early as this Saturday evening and could lead to the immediate closure of establishments.
