This Wednesday, January 25, a food distribution took place to assist homeless people. Christian Estrosi, Mayor of the City of Nice, and Jennifer Salles Barbosa, Deputy in charge of solidarity and seniors, were present during this solidarity movement.
The City of Nice is seriously committed to fighting against poverty, in support of the most underprivileged individuals. Having the opportunity to enjoy a meal is absolutely essential for people without stable housing, and with this in mind, a solidarity distribution was organized this Wednesday, January 25 at the day reception center of the CCAS of Nice. The Food Bank of the Alpes-Maritimes, the Restos du Cœur, and other associations worked together to provide the best possible welcome.
In total, no less than 6570 people benefited from this food distribution. Moreover, following some necessary work, the day shelter “Le Phare” integrated into the XVth corps of the CCAS of Nice is ready to reopen its doors starting today. Energy renovations, compliance updates, and beautification efforts have been carried out to ensure that the reception in these places is conducted under the best imaginable conditions.
