A prefectural decree prohibits Nice supporters from traveling to Nîmes, and the club’s legal appeal has been rejected. A new decree, this time issued by the Ministry of the Interior, has reinforced the first one with even more severity.
“On Saturday, August 17, 2019, from midnight to midnight, individual or collective travel, by any means, of any person claiming to be a supporter of the OGC Nice club, or behaving as such, is prohibited between the municipalities of the Alpes-Maritimes department, on one hand, and the municipality of Nîmes (Gard), on the other hand,” specifies the text from the Ministry of the Interior. Checks will also be conducted to ensure this decision is strictly enforced.
