The Nuits du Sport 2011 aimed to introduce and promote a so-called “derivative” sport, that is, a sport that is generally known by everyone but whose practice has been adapted to meet constraints: 5-a-side Football.
The Nuits du Sport will take place on June 15th and 16th, 2012 at the Urban Football in Villeneuve Loubet.
The Nuits du Sport always aim to innovate and promote values inherent to sports. The 2012 Edition will therefore feature an additional tournament exclusively for women!
For the men’s tournament, 16 teams of 7 players will compete in a tournament that will reward the top three teams with numerous prizes.
The mini women’s tournament will bring together 8 teams of girls and the champions will be rewarded.
In total, 175 people will be gathered for this event.
5-a-side Football
The practice of 5-a-side Football has been designed so that everyone can enjoy themselves with a fast, fluid game, without stops and with numerous goals. It encourages short and ground play, dribbling, passing, feints, and shooting. Two teams of 5 players, including a goalkeeper, compete against each other. The walls are an integral part of the game. They facilitate, accelerate, and offer many tactical possibilities. Tackling and contact are prohibited, thus allowing a large focus on play by excluding stoppages.
Urban Football
The 2012 Edition of the Nuits du Sport will take place at Urban Football.
The Urban Football center in Nice is the 12th center of the brand to open in France. It will be inaugurated in May 2012
