We had the contest for the “Marianne niçoise,” and now we have the one for the slogan of Nice! Nietzsche said: “The thoughts that run the world arrive on dove’s wings.”
Indeed, the flight of doves is quite dreamy. Then, there are pigeons which, unfortunately and despite themselves, symbolize those who get duped. Mind you, turtledoves aren’t too bad either…
On March 30th, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, launched a major citizen consultation, asking the population to propose a slogan for Nice.
With over 1,100 slogan proposals, the people of Nice showcased their creativity, pride, and love for our beautiful City.
The jury members have deliberated to choose the finalist slogans.
Five slogans have been selected and are proposed to you to become the signature of the City of Nice.
Here are the selected slogans:
– Nice the beautiful
– Nice label
– Nice label identity
– Just Nice
– So Nice
It is the first one, NICE THE BEAUTIFUL, that received the most votes from the people of Nice.
