This Wednesday marked the launch of the “Moteur!” contest for young people, supported by the city of Nice.
For several years, the “Moteur!” association has been offering a short film contest for young people aged 14 to 22. The Moteur! contest brings together 2,000 youths around the project. Former contestants who have previously participated in the contest engage with the young participants to talk about the project.
The “Moteur!” contest has been open since January 15 and will remain open until April 1, 2024 inclusive. The only rule to follow is that the film must not exceed one minute thirty seconds and should be about a person who is inspiring to the candidate. This role model can be someone well-known, a family member, or someone close: a neighbor, teacher, friend… The goal of the video is to honor and thank this person.ย
A lot of variety has been proposed in the films, whether it’s emotion, humor, engagement… With themes revolving around history, disability, brotherhoodโฆ All young people can submit a film on a theme of their choice. A contest open to diversity!
The association offers several prizes for this contest. The grandest prize is the Cannes Festival with the Campus of Confidence, a tour of YouTube’s headquarters, scholarships for audiovisual schools, or even tours of the Rani offices to meet inspiring people.
Event Program
The jury has been announced and will be chaired by Jonathan Cohen. The comedian will have the task of viewing the videos.ย
