-Presentation of the fixed terrestrial lookout system of FORCE 06
as part of the Forest Surveillance and Alert Network

To fight against fires during the summer period, the FORCE 06 (*) system is integrated into the Forest Surveillance and Alert Network (RFSA), under the authority of the Prefect, in close collaboration with SDIS 06.
This fixed terrestrial lookout system is in place from July 1st to September 30th, a period when the fire risk is particularly high.
Significant resources are deployed: 1 “central green” PC, 12 lookout stations, 19 to 24 forest surveillance patrols, 8 vehicles with 10,000-liter capacity, and 43 pieces of heavy equipment (bulldozers, excavators, tractors…).
Let’s remember that throughout the year, the 186 agents of FORCE 06 carry out missions for the prevention of natural risks, fire prevention with the maintenance of DFCI () equipment, clearing work, as well as surveillance and intervention actions.
