Latest News

This upcoming Thursday, April 4th at 6 PM, the Stade de Ray will be the stage for an international football match between the French team and their Canadian counterparts. However, instead of Lloris, Ribery, and Valbuena, spectators will get to see Céline Deville, Sandrine Soubeyrand, and Laëtitia Tonazzi in a match that promises excitement ahead of the Euro 2013 that the French team will compete in Sweden.

francecanada.jpgIn 9 encounters, the Canadian team leads with 4 victories, 2 draws, and 3 defeats, even though the French are ranked 5th in the FIFA standings while their opponents are in 7th place. The last two matches, played in 2012, resulted in one victory for each team: A win for the French in the World Cup group stage (4-0) and a win for the Canadians in the classification match at the last Olympic Games (1-0).

The French team, known as “Les Bleues,” will arrive in Nice next Monday, with open training sessions scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 AM to 11:30 AM at Stade du Ray, and the match set for Thursday, April 4th at 6:30 PM, still in the iconic arena of the Nice hill.
