African Wrestling Enters the Arena
For the first time, African wrestling enters the official competition of the Francophonie Games. In this type of wrestling, two men face off barehanded, without gloves, without protection. The various African federations have worked on a common set of rules: the matches consisting of two times three minutes take place on a nine-meter combat area; three points of ground contact are enough to lose.
