Announced in the heart of summer, Jubil, a new international humor festival, will be held in Nice from October 4 to 9, 2025. Created by Gad Elmaleh in collaboration with Grégoire Furrer, the event will feature several evenings.

Gad Elmaleh, one of the major figures of Francophone humor, announced the creation of Jubil, an international humor festival to be held in Nice from October 4 to 9, 2025. In collaboration with the city of Nice and Grégoire Furrer, founder of the Montreux Comedy Festival, the Franco-Moroccan comedian is set to bring together comedic talents from around the world.

“More than just a name, it’s an energy,” Gad Elmaleh specifies. “This festival embodies joy, fraternity, and humor.” Inspired by the success of Marrakech du Rire, “Jubil” aims to establish itself as an essential event in France and around the Mediterranean.

The festival will host several evenings in emblematic venues of Nice. The Jubil Gala, scheduled at the Palais Nikaïa on October 6, 7, and 8, 2025, will be the highlight. Gad Elmaleh will lead this unique show, surrounded by a troupe of comedians yet to be revealed.

On October 9, the stage will be set for the Jubil English Gala. This English-speaking event, orchestrated by a yet-to-be-announced master of ceremonies, will bring together international artists. An evening promising to celebrate humor in all its forms, blending cultures and styles.

Tickets will be available starting at 45 euros, with a premium rate of 80 euros for the “diamond section.”

Nice, an obvious choice

For Gad Elmaleh, Nice was a natural choice: “For several years now, I have dreamed of a major humor festival open to the Mediterranean. Nice seemed like an obvious choice and welcomed us with open arms.”

The full program is still to come, but other Nice venues like Stockfish will participate in the event. The organizers are also considering a night filmed for television or a streaming platform.

With Jubil, Nice aims to become a capital of laughter. An event that promises to bring together artists and audiences with a shared desire: to share humor.
