On Monday, February 27, 2012, at 5:00 PM, Mr. Eric Ciotti, President of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, and Ms. Dominique Ktorza, Director of Social Policies at the National Agency for Holiday Vouchers, will sign the “Seniors on Vacation” agreement.
A national first to break the daily routine of the elderly.
This agreement establishes a genuine partnership between the National Agency for Holiday Vouchers (ANCV) and the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes. Thanks to its Senior Departmental House, the Department will be able to inform the public about the ANCV’s “Seniors on Vacation” program, and will collect and process requests for participation in organized trips.
A proactive policy in favor of Seniors
“Seniors on Vacation” is an initiative developed since 2007 by the ANCV, which allows people aged 60 and over to travel at preferential rates. This approach is fully in line with the departmental gerontological plan 2012-2016, which aims to enhance the role of seniors in society, particularly by maintaining activity and social connections, by facilitating access to vacations.
