To quickly and easily enroll at the University of Nice, one just needs to pass by Acropolis. The information was well received, as most of the young people at the Student Services Information Forum moved there for this purpose. About thirty computers and forms are available for their use. “Initially, I came to do my pre-registration for medical school. In fact, I discovered many interesting booths,” says Julie, who graduated from high school a few days ago.
Indeed, the forum brings together all the keys to student life: from insurance and private schools to banks, health insurance funds, university residences, the CAF (Family Allowance Fund), and the public transport company Ligne d’Azur. L’Escale, the welcoming and listening center of the city of Nice for 11-25-year-olds, even offers a quiz on health and various social issues. The Rector of the Nice academy praises “a very beautiful synergy of action and partnership. This forum shows a new willingness to work together in the interest of our youth.”
### Life After the Lecture Hall…
While inaugurating the forum, Agnรจs Rampal, Deputy Mayor of Nice and delegate for higher education, emphasized: “young people like to be informed by their peers.”
Thomas Cรดte, 23, adds: “There’s nothing better than a student to impart knowledge to another student.” This young man is vice president of FACE06, the Federation of Associations and Corporations of Students in the department. The aim? To energize student life and create cohesion among the campuses of the University of Nice, which are too far apart. This apolitical organization seeks to convey up to the Ministry of National Education the local problems and malfunctions. It supports and federates student associations, such as the Student Office (Bureau Des Etudiants) responsible for animating life on campuses. At the forum, Thomas and his team meet new students to get to know them and discuss.
Future students, welcome, this forum is here to help you. Ready, set, goโฆ
