Saint Roman de Bellet School
Chemin de la Tour de Bellet – 06200 Nice
As part of the City of Nice taking direct control over school catering, the “Scientific Council of Nutrition” has been established.
Chaired by Stéphane Schneider, Professor of Nutrition at the Nice University Hospital, this council is responsible for ensuring the quality of school catering, conducting health monitoring, playing an informational and training role for all audiences, and making recommendations for improving the service provided to young residents of Nice.
Among the 21 recommendations presented in December 2011 by the SCN: the development or creation of playful workshops on food and cooking, the development of physical activities, complementary to “Healthy Eating”…
Thus, this Friday, June 29, the students of Saint Roman de Bellet School will participate in the first health day organized around physical and fun activities on the themes of balanced diet and sports: “Eat, Move” workshops, nutrition workshops, sports activities, tasting of Mediterranean dishes (pan bagnat, troucha, pissaladière, ratatouille quiche, etc.), and especially a big treasure hunt!
An opportunity for the City of Nice to raise awareness among young schoolchildren about the importance of eating well and engaging in physical activities.
