Driven by an extraordinary Ana Gros (12 goals), well supported by Pop-Lazic (6 goals) and Darlieux in the cage (16/39), the Bretons dominated the proceedings and regained the top spot in the championship thanks to a better goal difference than Metz.

The visitors, however, remained within striking distance with an efficient attack. Brest led by 2 at halftime (14-12).

The beginning of the second half mirrored the first. Brest took the lead, but Nice stayed within reach. Until the home team’s streak, a decisive 5-0 that allowed them to pull away, mostly thanks to 12 goals from their player Ana Gros, the top scorer of the match. The Aiglonnes couldn’t come back despite Melissa Agathe’s 7 goals. Final score: 29-23.

A second defeat in 6 matches but it doesn’t dampen the spirits of the girls from OGC Nice. Next game on October 5th at home against local rivals Toulonnais.
