The Eagles of Nice were heavily defeated by the Dukes of Angers (6-1), who were 7th in the standings before this match.
Nice was holding up well and was only trailing by one goal at the end of the first period (2-1, goal by Kubus). But right after the restart and thanks to doubles from Arrossamena and Gaborit, Angers took a considerable lead (6-1).
No goals were scored in the last period, but the defeat remains heavy nonetheless, especially against a team that was only one place above Nice.
Despite this setback, Nice currently maintains its 8th place.
