Now 8th in the standings, the Eagles are well-positioned to hope for a place in the final stages. A timid start to the match
Despite many opportunities created by the Eagles during this first half, they could not find the back of the net, nor could their opponent, for that matter. It was during the second period that the game turned, notably with an early opening goal by Anglet in the second minute of play. Ondrej Kopta did the same for Nice 3 minutes later before Mikael Kuronen gave Nice the lead for good (16′).
