1. Mean Girls, Lolita Despite Herself by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr.
The cinema releases for this week start with the remake of the comedy “Mean Girls, Lolita Despite Herself”. The film tells the story of a new student, Cady Heron, who finds herself mingling with the elite of the social food chain, the popular girls called “The Plastics”, led by their queen Regina George and her minions Gretchen and Karen. But when Cady has a crush on Aaron, she doesn’t immediately realize that she’s made a big mistake, as her new best friend quickly turns into an enemy. Cady decides to overthrow the established order with the help of her loser friends, Janis and Damian. Staying true to oneself while navigating the ruthless high school jungle: it’s a full program, and you have 2 hours.
2. Bonnard, Pierre and Marthe by Martin Provost
The French painter Pierre Bonnard wouldn’t be the artist everyone knows without the enigmatic Marthe. Indeed, the man whom his homeland nicknamed the “painter of happiness” captured the portrait of his wife, a self-proclaimed aristocrat, in more than a third of his paintings. Dedicated to impressionism and abstraction, Bonnard founded the group of the Nabis in 1888 with other artists. Later, Marthe descends into madness…
3. Making of by Cédric Kahn
Simon, an experienced director, begins shooting a film about workers fighting to save their factory. But between his producer’s schemes, uncontrollable actors, and edgy crew members, he quickly finds himself overwhelmed. Abandoned by his financiers, Simon must face a social conflict with his own team. In this hellish shoot, his only ally is the young extra to whom he entrusted the creation of the making of.
4. The Last Dance by Sabry Jarod
