The Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis implements a very operational housing policy. It acts on the social housing stock, promotes the production of housing, and facilitates residential pathways. It also works with the private housing stock by providing property owners with assistance programs enabling them to upgrade their properties.
The program โAct for the Quality of Housingโ or General Interest Program for the Reduction of Substandard Housing and the Fight Against Vacant Housing (PIG)
Implemented locally in 2008, the PIG is aimed at property owners (whether living in or renting out) who wish to carry out work to bring their housing up to standard. The property must be over 15 years old and intended for primary residence. Owners can benefit from free technical and administrative assistance from URBANIS company advisors as well as financial aid provided by the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis.
โLiving Betterโ program, a program to combat energy poverty
This program allows owners to improve the energy performance of their housing. It is aimed exclusively at owner-occupants in a situation of energy poverty and with modest resources.
The Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis offers administrative, technical, and social support and financial aid to owners undertaking work enabling them to achieve 25% energy savings.
