For this 3rd edition, the General Council offers an exceptional program over 4 days.
Highlights
– A tribute to Luciano Pavarotti and Maria Callas, presented by Eve Ruggieri with the Regional Orchestra of Cannes-Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur, under the direction of Philippe Bender. This tribute will be the first to the Italian tenor since his death on September 6.
– “Ecce cor Meum” by Sir Paul McCartney, performed for the first time in France by the Regional Orchestra of Cannes-Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur, accompanied by the departmental choir, the University Vocal Ensemble, and the Children’s Choir of the Conservatory of Cannes, with Jacques Taddei on the organ.
– “The Messiah by Handel” by the Baroque Ensemble of Nice and the Regional Choir Provence-Alpes-Cรดte d’Azur, conducted by Gilbert Bezzina.
– “The Fantastic Symphony by Berlioz” by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nice, conducted by Marco Guidarini.

Big Evenings
– “Eine kleine Nachtmusik”, “The Magic Flute”, “Jupiter Symphony”, “Linz Symphony”, “Symphonie concertante for Violin, Viola and Orchestra” by Mozart, “Concerto No. 2” by Beethoven, among others.
With 42 hours of music, “It’s not classical” has become the major music marathon in southern Europe with:
– more than 100 completely free concerts,
– a choice between several shows each day at the same time,
– 1,000 artists,
– philharmonic and symphonic orchestras,
– 12 halls accommodating from 100 to 2,500 people.
“It’s not classical” also includes musical films, a chลuraokรฉ, master classes, tributes, exhibitions, performances, games, conferences and debates, interactivity, “Dare Music” violin and cello workshops for beginners, and an international flute competition Maxence Larrieu.
