On Friday, April 20, 2012, at 11 a.m., Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Area, will inaugurate the garden of the five senses, an organic educational vegetable garden set up on the site of the Château elementary school.
The result of a joint project between schools and the Green Spaces Department
Awarded at the third Environmental Trophies organized by the city of Nice, the Château elementary school and specialized school (for visually impaired and health-challenged students) were able to create, in partnership with the city’s Green Spaces Department, a sensory garden maintained collectively by the students.
Students from seven classes, whether or not they have disabilities, work in small groups according to their age group, beyond their differences, to maintain the garden.
