On Sunday, June 3, 2012, at 6:30 PM, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of Nice Côte d’Azur, will inaugurate the renovated facade of the Sainte-Hélène Church in Nice.

Sainte-Hélène was the first parish established outside the walls of Nice in 1728. Listed as an additional historic monument since 1951, it benefited from the extensive program for the restoration and enhancement of the city’s historical heritage.

On March 15, the renovation and refurbishment of the neoclassical facade of Sainte-Hélène Church began, including its presbytery in original colors as well as the shutters and joinery.

The work was completed on May 30, 2012. It was entirely funded by the City of Nice for a total amount of €96,047.31, including taxes.

Following this presentation, a mass will be celebrated by Father André Koch, Pastor of the Sainte-Hélène Church.
