Lacking inspiration? Come and discover that of 14 artists from the stArt association in their new exhibition Inspirations. Invited for the second time to the Splendid Hôtel & Spa in Nice, the association will display its works from March 8 to April 27, 2024. “While our association is accustomed to working around a theme, we took the opportunity with the exhibition Inspirations to offer complete freedom for the artists’ expression by allowing them to present the work of their choice,” explains Pierre-Gil Flory, president of the stArt association.
For the exhibition Inspirations, the 14 artists present “a piece of their choosing created with total freedom, full instinct, without constraint or obligation, with the sincerity and the impulse we call Inspiration,” comments Roland Moreau, an artist from the association. Inspired by the African slums, Roland conveys in his work “the poverty that stands side by side with great wealth.” In contrast, Philippe Mardini draws inspiration from the sea, saying, “it is present in all my engravings,” as the artist indicates. For Nathalie Broyelle, inspiration came from the interpretation of a holy story that a friend, an editor, asked her to illustrate. And there is so much more to discover in the exhibition Inspirations. “Ultimately, the values of our collective are expressed here: freedom, diversity, and sharing,” concludes the president of the stArt association.
