INTER-REGIONAL PROTESTS FOR THE CESSATION OF NUCLEAR ENERGY

Latest News

Gathering on Saturday, October 15 at Place Massena starting at 10:00 AM.

Greenpeace is behind this initiative, which aims to integrate into a series of INTER-REGIONAL PROTESTS FOR THE STOPPAGE OF NUCLEAR POWER and will allow us to unite our fight “in the past, present, and future.”

THE PAST:

It’s Chernobyl and the major nuclear accident of 1986, the controversy (still vivid) over the health impact in France, and the recent dismissal of charges pronounced by the Paris Court of Appeal (September 7, 2011) in favor of Professor Pierre Pellerin, judged for “aggravated deception”…

A detailed and thorough document, entitled “HOW OUR AUTHORITIES CONTINUE TO PLAY HIDE AND SEEK WITH THE TRUTH” will demonstrate that evidently new legal developments are awaited… and necessary.

THE FUTURE:

It’s FREE THE ENERGY, a basic document designed by GREENPEACE and distributed by its 06 region activists.

THE THEME: how to practically implement a nuclear phase-out process based on three coherent pillars:

meeting energy needs

combating climate change

abolishing the energies of the past.

AND…THE PRESENT:

It is, of course, all the activist gatherings on Saturday, October 15 across France, including the one in Nice at Place Massena.

Stalls, document distribution, and street theater will allow us to manifest our spirit of resistance while in Fukushima, Japan, the nuclear industry has once again demonstrated its inherent harmfulness.
