The registration curve has been steadily increasing since 2007, and the race is filling up earlier and earlier each year. At the same period, there are more than 15% additional registrations.
A new development is the balance between French and foreign competitors being at 50/50, whereas the proportion is generally 60% in favor of foreign athletes. In the top 5 represented nations are France, followed by the United Kingdom, Spain, the United States, and Belgium, with a total of 48 nations represented to date.
Among the new features, an Irongirl (a 5km run for women) will take place during the cycling portion of the Ironman on Sunday, right after the IronKids.
