An international match at Stade du Ray, it was a dream, but today it has become a reality, as the historic stadium in Nice will host a friendly match between Italy and Austria on Wednesday, August 20th at 20:45.
For this event, Mci Sport and OGC Nice concluded a partnership last Friday, July 4th, to co-organize the match. The football club will provide the company with its logistics and teams (security, ticketing, communication…) in order to optimize the organization of the event.
As for Stade du Ray, it has been made available to the organizers by the Nice city council, which is delighted to offer both the people of Nice and tourists on the French Riviera such a prestigious and unprecedented event, which will also mark the return of Marcello Lippi as head of the World Champion team.
This shows that while waiting for the new stadium in Nice Saint Isidore, the old Stade du Ray can also host major events.
