Latest News

In a preview, here are the few names to remember that should be at the forefront at the finish line:

On the men’s side, it is Ali Saidi SIEF, Olympic Vice-Champion in the 5000 m in 2000 and 5th at the World Championships in the same discipline in 2005, who is expected to be the favorite of the competition. Mokhtar BENHARI (Winner of the Promโ€™Classic in 2008), Loรฏc LETELLIER (3rd in 2009), and David RAMARD (Winner in 2006 and second in 2007) will be serious contenders. Zioini BADRE, 4th at the European Cross Country Championships by team in 2009, could also spring a surprise.

On the women’s side, it is Samira Mezeghrane SAAD (best performance over 10 km in 32’09”) who should be found without much surprise at the top of the podium on Sunday. However, one should not forget the young Lauranne PICOCHE, last year’s big winner of the event in 34’05”, who has a new personal best of 33’55” since the Corrida de Houilles last December, and Christelle BARDELLE who holds a personal best of 33’04”. Regular participants of the event, Fatima YVELAIN, second in 2009, Yamna OUBOUHOU, second in 2008, and not to forget Zahia DAHMANI (personal best in 33’19”) will also be serious competitors.

Note the withdrawal of Thibault NAEL who will not be present on the starting line this Sunday.

The competition already promises to be very tight, and the bets are open regarding the name of the grand winner of this 10th anniversary!

Answer: Sunday at 10:00 am on the Promenade des Anglais!
