As part of the Nice Jazz Festival, which once again this year will be taking place in various districts of the city from July 8 to 12, the Nice Communal Center for Social Action wanted to bring music into its establishments.
Various festivities have been scheduled in the retirement homes up until July 8:
§ Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM: Residence of Veterans – 51 rue des Orangers, Nice
“Jazz in the Garden”
The Barbajazz group, presented by the “Jazz in the Garden” association chaired by Lorenzo GIANNUZZI, will entertain the residents with the essential melodies of traditional jazz from the banks of the Mississippi.
§ Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 2:45 PM: Grosso Residence – 5-7 Avenue Férix – Nice
Jazz with Christian RABAU, an eclectic guitarist who will offer a jazzy repertoire to the residents of Grosso.
§ Friday, July 6, 2012 at 2:30 PM: Fornéro Ménéï Residence – 4 rue Sorgentino, Nice
Jazz with Antonia
Antonia has been performing regularly and voluntarily for more than two years for the residents of the EHPAD managed by the CCAS of Nice. Influenced by the great jazz singers such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan, she has already sung in Italy and during the music festivals organized by the Nucéra library, where she works (Mediabus).

Nice Gospel Group
Presided over by Michelle Vella, the Nice Gospel Group association consists of seven singers and a musician who will perform the standards of Gospel and Negro Spirituals.
-The four Residential Care Facilities for Dependent Elderly (EHPAD) of the CCAS
The CCAS of Nice manages four Residential Care Facilities for Dependent Elderly (EHPAD), residences intended for seniors who have lost autonomy. Equipped with medical and paramedical staff, these facilities are regulated with the State and the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes. In addition to providing excellent medical care, the staff is committed to enhancing the well-being of the residents.
