In the context of activities dedicated to seniors, the Paul Augier Hotel School, celebrating its centenary, was the scene of an unusual competition: the SeniorSchefS-Faitout d’Azur 2014 culinary contest.

Seven senior candidates selected for the final prepared their recipes on-site, with the help of kitchen assistants, and showcased originality and creativity to present dishes elaborated on the theme of sardines!

The jury, chaired by Joël Garault (L’Hermitage) and composed of Didier Anies (Grand Hôtel du Cap), Laurent Capdeville (Director of Gastronomy Enodis France), Jean-François Issautier (Saint Martin du Var), Philippe Joannes (Le Fairmont), Jean-Denis Rieubland (Le Négresco), Patrick Raingeard (Restaurant Le Cap Estel in Eze), Jean-Michel Galy, Deputy Mayor, awarded the prize to Madame Josette Quaglia. Eliane Box received the prize for “creativity.”

This event aims to showcase the culinary skills of seniors and highlight the richness of the Mediterranean culinary heritage.
