Following the attack on Thursday, July 14, 2016, the City of Nice became a civil party in the legal proceedings to stand by the grieving families, the injured and scarred residents of Nice, and to actively participate in the investigation.
Through this decision, the Tribunal de Grande Instance acknowledges that the City of Nice itself was a target of high symbolic value.
This recognition as a civil party will allow the City of Nice to continue supporting the victims and their families in their legitimate quest for the truth.
