The republican parade of July 14th took place on the Promenade des Anglais at the end of the day. A symbolic and emotional moment on this special day of remembrance for the people of Nice.
After the spectacular fireworks on Saturday night, the evening of July 14th was no exception. The schedule included three major events that enlivened this national day: a medal award ceremony, the passage of 3 Alfa jets from the 02.008 “Nice” fighter squadron, and finally, the republican parade.
The parade on the Promenade des Anglais, at the level of the Théâtre de Verdure, included men and women who fight daily for France.*
The day continued with a concert by the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of György G. Ráth, starting at 9 PM. An artistic moment on the stage of the Nice Jazz Festival at Jardin Albert 1st.
Finally, the lighting of the 86 beams took place at 10:34 PM between avenue de Verdun and avenue Max Gallo. An important gathering for the 86 families of victims and a civic duty of remembrance in honor of the 86 angels of the Promenade…
