CLASSICAL CONCERT: Violin, Cello Duo
Violeta Smailovic-Huart and Manfred Stilz perform successfully around the world, whether in recitals, chamber music concerts, or as soloists.
Violeta Smailovic-Huart, a former child prodigy, gave her first live television performance at the age of 5 and debuted at 11 with the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra. She was elected the best young musician in Yugoslavia and has won numerous awards. She has been applauded in the most prestigious venues (Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Stockholm, Royal Theatre Brussels, etc.).
Manfred Stilz, a winner of prestigious competitions, is one of the few musicians to have had the opportunity to play at Carnegie Hall twice with two different instruments: cello and recorder. The very high level of his performances has also allowed him to have prestigious partners (I. Stern, P. Amoyal, J.P. Rampal, Y. Giltis, etc.) and to participate in numerous renowned festivals.
For several years, these two musicians have combined their talents as a violin/cello duo to interpret the major works of the repertoire.
Program:
Handel-Halvorsen: Passacaglia. Duo for violin and cello
Mozart: Duo KV 423 for violin and cello
Glière: 4 Pieces
Ravel: Sonata for violin and cello in C Major
