On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, Christian Estrosi officially launched the national Pièces Jaunes campaign. Brigitte Macron and Didier Deschamps were present on this very special day.
For over 30 years, Pièces Jaunes has been bringing us together in a civic gesture of generosity and sharing. This association involves collecting donations to improve the lives of hospitalized children and adolescents and to provide necessary support to their families. This operation has funded 9,000 projects in Nice alone since 1989. The benefits amount to no less than €104 million, thanks to the support of deeply committed establishments like the Nice University Hospital, the Lenval Foundation, and the Antoine Lacassagne Center.
The Importance of Participating in the Pièces Jaunes Operation
Donating to the Pièces Jaunes collection is above all about supporting numerous initiatives for children. Projects like the creation of workshops to have fun and laugh, providing classroom equipment to continue learning, or setting up mother-child rooms to spend the night with parents. As for adolescents, the collection helps to fund specialized structures for addressing their hardships and pathologies. Finally, for the elderly, it allows mobilization among care teams to preserve their dignity, strengthen social and familial bonds, and combat pain and isolation.
