Built partly in the mid-18th century, the Terraces of Ponchettes have asserted themselves from the beginning as a place of conviviality and representation of seaside life.
Open for promenades until 1961, they are now closed to the public. The city of Nice wishes to reopen this pathway through the development of a quality space, open to the public.
On Thursday, November 20 at 6:00 PM, a public meeting will be held at the Maison des Associations – Place Garibaldi, concerning the reopening for pedestrian circulation of the Terraces of Ponchettes, as well as the redevelopment of the Citรฉ du Parc, rue des Ponchettes, and the north sidewalk and roadway of Quai des Etats-Unis.
It should be noted that from November 4 to November 25, a public consultation is taking place at the Maison des Projets of the Forum of Urbanism and Architecture, Place Pierre Gauthier in Nice, presenting the major orientations of the project.
