A new recruit has just joined the Nice group and is even part of the trip to Boulogne-sur-Mer. The Ghanaian Enok Kofi Adu, who has been training with the professional squad for several months, has signed a three-year contract and will therefore make his first steps in high-level football, savoring the taste of a cup. On the Boulogne side, the recent victory against Bastia (1-0) this Friday has lifted the spirits of Philippe Montanier’s men, who find themselves in second place in Ligue 2, just behind the untouchable Strasbourg team. A not-so-little underdog after all, and a tricky match for the team from the Azure Coast who, despite their strong offensive effectiveness, lack defensive rigor, preventing them from maintaining a significant two-goal lead in their last two matches.
This match will not be broadcast on the France Tรฉlรฉvisions network despite the coverage of 10 out of 14 matches, just like Vannes-Valenciennes, Crรฉteil-Nantes, or Metz-Troyes. A match probably deemed not very attractive by the editors but one that would surely have delighted the many red and black supporters, the official colors of both clubs. So to follow the game, it will be the old-school way with an ear glued to the radio on France Bleu Azur.
The starting position in the Nice goal will be held by David Ospina, the Colombian backup for Lionel Letizi, who will play his first game with the professional squad. There is no doubt that the young goalkeeper will be able to fulfill the promises he made on Actufoot: โIf I get the starting position, I will try to show what I can do.โ
In terms of injuries, Kantรฉ will also be absent due to a collision during training with his teammate Ozokwo. The result is a broken nose that will prevent him from playing tonight against Boulogne.
