Business leaders, local economy players, culture lovers, or curious individuals eager for exchanges, the Nuit des Galeries is open to you. This cultural event allows the people of Nice who work all day to discover contemporary artists. It also promotes the meeting between galleries, their artists, and businesses. For this 8th edition, 12 partner galleries will offer diverse tours through contemporary art.
This year, the Nuit des Galeries is organizing a partnership with the Ligne d’Azur. 3,000 tickets will be offered by the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Community. They will be available either in invitation cards or in the associated galleries. This transport ticket will allow the people of Nice to go to and from the exhibition venues as much as they wish. They will also be able to admire the artistic route of the tramway, consisting of 14 open-air artworks.
More than 12,000 people have gathered in seven years
Organized by the Carrefour Culturel Méditerranéen, the Alain Couturier association, and the Jeune Chambre Economique de Nice Côte d’Azur, the Nuit des Galeries also encourages artistic patronage. It is an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to meet artists and create partnerships. Enhancing the institutional image of the company, motivating employees, encouraging experimental practices… these are the advantages that artists and entrepreneurs can gain.
“It’s an opportunity for the people of Nice to meet again after the holidays, to dialogue and share their impressions,” says Frère Benoît Pekle, creator of the Nuit des Galeries. More than 12,000 people have already been gathered in seven years of existence. “In 2001, the first Nuit des Galeries brought together 300 to 400 people. Now, we are expecting 3,000 to 4,000 people,” assured Alexandra Masson-Bettati, president of the Carrefour Culturel Méditerranéen. In any case, this event will allow the people of Nice to reconnect with contemporary artists. A cultural night not to be missed!
