In an increasingly globalized and connected world, the ecological issue emerges as a crucial challenge for the preservation of our planet and the protection of our health.
One of the essential areas on which political leaders must act is diesel. Indeed, diesel emits fine particles responsible for air pollution, significantly harming our quality of life and health.
A study counts 38,000 premature deaths due to diesel pollution, and public authorities are noticeable by their inaction on this issue. Becoming aware of the extremely harmful effect of diesel on our health and that of our children is, in my view, a moral imperative.
Tomorrow, as a deputy, I will make your health my priority. I will therefore propose a controlled phasing out of diesel.
By 2025, no new diesel vehicles will be put into circulation. A world where we breathe better will be a world where we live better.
