Philippe Vardon, a candidate of the National Rally in all elections for the past few years, did not take long to announce that he would be participating, even in the 2022 legislative elections.
In 2017, as a candidate in the 3rd constituency, he created a surprise by qualifying for the runoff at the expense of the “historical” deputy Rudy Salles, before the newcomer Cédric Roussel took advantage of the Macronist wave to win.
For now, he has not announced in which constituency he will be a candidate, it’s known that his relationship with Alexandra Masson, a member of the national executive of the RN and said to be very close to Marine Le Pen, is not the most “fluid.”
He was part of Nicolas Bay’s circle, who left RN to join Eric Zemmour. That is why he advocates “unity” and “union” against the Estrosi-Macron system. But with whom, if not with Reconquête? An option that, at least officially, his party has excluded several times.
To be sure, he just has to wait for the decisions of the national authorities.
The very clear progress of the RN in the Alpes-Maritimes, especially in Nice, allows hope for good results in the legislative elections.
As a determined fighter, and a fighter if necessary, he will not fail to commit himself fully and with optimism: “We will send a significant number of patriotic deputies to the Assembly, including in this department”, he assures.
