Liberté Chérie: On July 22, we celebrate “Tax Freedom Day”!

Latest News

Liberté Chérie Nice Côte d’Azur, the liberal association for the defense of taxpayers, invites you to gather on July 22, to celebrate “Tax Liberation Day.”

Indeed, in 2011, it is from July 22 that the French will stop working solely for the benefit of the public sector and will finally be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Between 1999 (the date of the first celebration of Tax Liberation Day) and 2009, this day fluctuated between July 10 and July 17. It was already burdensome for the taxpayer!

This year, it’s the 22nd!

This time, the State will have taken away 202 days from us!

This means that only after almost seven months of working for the State can the average worker enjoy what they have earned for themselves.

Moral of the story: All policies aiming to increase purchasing power while neglecting the necessary rationalization of public and social spending will only lead to results below expectations.
