One Thursday a month, in a literary salon atmosphere, writer Aurélie de Gubernatis organizes and hosts the Literary Thursdays to offer a moment of sharing between the public, the writers, and their works.

Born in 1974, Nicolas D’ESTIENNE D’ORVES is a music critic for Le Figaro and Classica and a columnist for Figaroscope. Author of about twenty works, he published in 2012 “Les Fidélités successives,” a book that earned him a spot on the lists for the Prix Femina and Prix Interallié and for which he received the Prix Cazes-Brasserie Lipp.

The Book “The Glory of the Damned”

The daughter of a collaborator executed before her eyes at the Liberation, Gabrielle Valoria must write the first biography of Sidonie Porel. But who really is Sidonie Porel? The most famous novelist of her time or a literary impostor? A great lover or a manipulator?

By delving into the past of this woman she fears and admires, Gabrielle discovers a world teeming with liars and traitors. Writers, politicians, journalists, prostitutes, big bosses: all hide a deadly secret…
